SLOVO

Lyrical video and status maker — free, no watermark

Make a lyrical video for your favourite song or your own track: your photo in the frame, the lines appearing exactly when they are sung, and visuals that move with the beat. Trim it to the hook and save a 9:16 MP4 for WhatsApp Status, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. No app to install, no watermark, no ads burned into the video, no sign-up.

Why most free status apps disappoint

The typical lyrical status app on the Play Store is free to install and then asks you to pay at the last step: a logo stamped in the corner, a “remove watermark” button that plays an ad or opens a subscription, or a quality lock until you upgrade. It also takes storage on your phone and often wants permissions it does not need.

SLOVO works differently. It is a website that builds the video inside your own browser, so it pays no server bill per video and has nothing to charge you for. No watermark, no ads in the video, no limit, no account. And because nothing is rendered on a server, your song is never uploaded anywhere.

Make a lyrical status in 5 steps

  1. Open slovo.video in Chrome — on your Android phone or a computer.
  2. Pick the song — MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or OGG.
  3. Add your photo — or choose one of the ready scenes.
  4. Paste the lyrics — each line is timed to the vocal automatically.
  5. Trim and export 9:16 — keep the hook, save the MP4, share it.

Lyrics that land on time

The part that takes longest in any lyrical video is the timing — sliding every line to the right second. SLOVO does that part for you: paste the words, and it listens to the vocal to find where each line starts and ends. Show one line at a time, or highlight each word as it is sung, karaoke-style. It works for Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, English or any other language, because the timing comes from the sound of the voice rather than a dictionary.

One honest note: SLOVO does not transcribe songs. There is no speech recognition — it would get lyrics wrong over music and would need your audio on someone else's server. You paste the words; SLOVO handles the timing.

Your photo, moving with the music

Use a selfie, a couple photo, a picture of the artist, or a short video clip as the background. The scene reacts to the song: a slow zoom for romantic tracks, a pulse on every beat for Punjabi and hip-hop, glitch and VHS for something harder. 3D Photo separates you from the background so the scene moves behind you — the look of a filmed shot from a single photo. Browse every style with previews on visual styles.

Slowed + reverb, lo-fi and Bollywood edits

If you have already made a slowed + reverb or lo-fi version of a song in another tool, drop that file in and the visuals follow its slower pace. SLOVO does not slow songs down itself — export always runs at the file's own speed. For lo-fi, the calm scenes work best: cassette, dust in a lamp beam, film grain. See the lo-fi visualizer for the full set.

Sized for WhatsApp Status, Reels and Shorts

Export in vertical 9:16, which fits WhatsApp Status, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. WhatsApp's help centre currently gives 90 seconds as the status limit, and longer videos have to be split — but a status is watched in a tap, so the hook alone, 20 to 40 seconds, usually lands better: trim straight to it before exporting. The editor marks the areas that Reels and Shorts cover with their buttons, so your lyrics stay visible. The same project also exports 16:9 for a full YouTube lyrical video.

On a budget phone

SLOVO runs in Chrome on Android. On faster phones export is quick; on budget phones and on iPhone it runs at roughly the length of the clip — a 30-second status takes about 30 seconds, a full song takes as long as the song. Choose 720p, which is lighter and looks good on Status, and keep the screen on without switching apps until it finishes.

Light on data

The first visit downloads about 1–1.5 MB, and after that the site opens from cache almost without using data. Only two features download larger files — automatic subtitle translation and cutting an object out of a photo — and only when you use them.

FAQ

Is this lyrical video maker really free? Yes — no paid plan, no card, no ads inside the video, no limit. The watermark can be switched off. Do I need to install an app? No. It runs in Chrome on Android and on computers; nothing from the Play Store. How long can a WhatsApp status video be? WhatsApp's help centre gives 90 seconds; longer videos must be split. Most people post just the hook, 20–40 seconds — trim to it before exporting. Does SLOVO type out the lyrics for me? No — you paste them, and SLOVO times each line to the vocal. Works in Hindi, Punjabi, English or any language. Can I make a slowed + reverb lyrical video? Yes, from an audio file that is already slowed. SLOVO does not slow songs itself. Will it work on my phone? On Android in Chrome, yes. On budget phones export takes about as long as the clip — use 720p and keep the screen on. How much data does it use? About 1–1.5 MB on the first visit, then it opens from cache. Is the editor in Hindi? Not yet — it is in English. There is a Hindi guide on the site.
